| It’s not easy to sum up Eleventh Street in a sentence,
but perhaps you could call it a new genre of urban lounge.
Our formula for success has been something like: “Take
an upscale lounge deep in the heart of Metropolitan DC,
transplant it onto the nearer side of the river, add a little
coziness, subtract the ostentation, mix in a sprinkle of
clever cocktails and exemplary cuisine, and the end result
is the best kept secret in the metro area.” No longer
must you “jump over the bridge” to find fantastic
house music, sip creative cocktails made with the finest
spirits on the market, pop bottles of Dom P or Cristal,
or host your own party fit to turn you into the instant
de facto “social chair” for your office. In
short, if you want to have a night out in the city—without
going through the hassle or dealing with the pretentiousness
of going to the city—give us a try. We have hordes
of regular customers, and we’re proud to say it’s
for a very good reason.
We never have a cover charge
and our dress code is fairly simple, mainly because our
customers haven’t required us to turn into the fashion
police by virtue of their good taste:
*no light colored plain T-shirts (must at least have a logo,
design, pocket, etc, or be dark colored)
*no tank tops, sleeveless shirts, or sleeveless jerseys
*no hooded sweatshirts, sweatpants, or gym gear
*no do-rags or bandanas
*no work boots (e.g. Timberlands, Doc Martins)
So, whether you’re dressed to impress or just want
to have a chill night with jeans and a polo, you won’t
find yourself out of place at Eleventh Street. Rather than
a certain look, think of Eleventh as a state of mind…
